Hello,
This is my first time taking this paper and I was feeling really good but now I feel really down because i have not covered risk performance topic at all. i don’t even feel like doing as it’s full of theory and I hate that.
My question is if I JUST focus on past papers now till exam, what are my chances of passing? I am confident with decision making, costing and variances.
How are you all revising last week or so?
what about budgeting and performance appraisal? you need to be comfortable with those too as they appear on all exams. ensure that you read all the articles published espcially the most recent ones. you mentioned variances i hope you mean advance variances such as mix and yeild and planning and operational.
in order to pass f5 you need to know both theory and numerical and practice a good rev kit helps.

Exactly, so if i do ALL the papers and pass them then is that okay for me to face real exam?
performance appraisal is in all sittings once you are comfortable with the entire syllabus and practice as many pass exam questions as possible you are at least guranteed a 50%. reading all the technical articles on the ACCA website also helps.
I just find 2012 and june 2013 really hard I hope it’s not like that!!
I want more of decision based and ABC!!!!
Do not rely soley on past papers. Try reading techincal articles & study text.
BTW, i passed F5 without practicing Past Papers.
I picked Kaplan. I had very limited time so bpp was not an option.
