…… and wow! they are full on!! tough! i went over the notes, making notes -etc twice;
today started the questions, and the first one…. i froze…… !!! arghhh!
panic.com/ohdear.
i’M really tempted to look at the answer straight away but feel i wont learn anything!
how is it going for you guys?
November 18, 2013 at 9:13 pm #146669It is solid !
November 18, 2013 at 9:31 pm #146672It looks tough in the beginning but when you will practice 3, 4 questions by hand you will find them easy & things will get repetitive and you will learn the technique how to deal with minor changes in each question. Just don’t give up, You can do it. As you have already made your notes twice. Just a bit practice it will improve your fluency. I also did my f9 with Mr. John Moffat lectures, his lectures are really fantastic & I passed because of his lectures. If you have taken all the lectures now is your time to just practice & pass the exam.
Good Luck for your f9 exam.
November 18, 2013 at 10:36 pm #146675thank you but where do you “start” your question practice?
i am using the BPP practice and revision kit and just plucked a question out of thin air like….. “mmmmm 55! yes i’ll start with this one….” …. is this the same method you have taken?
or woul you advise a different approach? and also, are there are more practice questions on this website for F9?
Kind regards
November 18, 2013 at 10:53 pm #146677Hi….
I struggled when I started doin question practice so I did open tuition questions to get me in to it then start with the made up practice exams in bpp book, but only did two of them and now I am working through Dec past exams starting with 2007 im on 2009 at the mo and have a revision class this weekend!! I found takin it steady like one question a nite helped me understand it a lot easier then loads and not really takin it in…. good luck x xNovember 19, 2013 at 8:36 am #146719I also used bpp kit, but I did not used this random approach.
In bpp kit there around 5 or 6 sections of the whole syllabus
Section B is on Working Capital Section C on Investment Appraisal………
Each section has around 10-20 questions
I did practice section by section
If you will do 2,3 questions of each section you will get fluent and you will realize things are getting almost repetitive with minor changes in a new question.
But I didn’t did all the questions in each section, I did almost all past exam questions from the revision kit [Questions that have with them (06/12) (12/07)]. As the time is very short I would suggest you do past exam questions from revision kit & do it from all the sections as you have to try and attempt all the questions & also look at the revision lectures of Mr.John Moffat on opentuition they are brilliant.
November 19, 2013 at 10:35 pm #146890thank you – i have so far done two questions from the revision kit – i do admit, i struggle in “how to approach” the questions, so i am looking through the answers afterwardsd but using them as a tool to review how to approach the question mmm so far not bad… exhausting!! 2 questions in 3-4 hours!
