Resitting passed exams?

What happens if you have already passed an exam and resit it? If you fail the resit, is it still considered a pass?
I only ask as I have sat and passed P2 INT variant. If in the future I would like to sit the UK variant and fail it, would I still have passed?

What happens if you have become a member and then decide to do the UK variant and fail, would they take your accreditation away?
