In my previous job I worked in a financial accounts team of 20 people (all earning £17 – £20K GBP per year) of whom 15 were studying either ACCA or CIMA. I thought this was strange as surely of all these people there are not enough accountant jobs to go around if all 15 qualify. This job was in a large public sector company.
In my current place there are 3 finalists and 3 qualified all earning are earning around £24K per year. This job is in private sector housing company.
I see a trend of lots of people studying and qualifying but not alot moving onto better jobs. Is this a trend you have noticed?
