There’s a chapter in the course notes together with an example. Basically, a company is in financial difficulties but has good reason to believe that their future is rosy if they can just get through these next few months. But such is the extent of their problems, they are unable to issue more shares or borrow more money. If we don’t restructure, the only alternative would be to liquidate.
