Dear tutor,
please, help me with the following question.If the requirement is to analise something and I am going to use a particular model (for example, PESTEL for analysis of external environment) should I give the explanation of the model I`m going to use? If yes, how detailed should it be?
Or such an explanation wil earn no marks and it would be a waste of time?Hi, 1-2 lines should be enough. E.g. For this analysis, the model PESTEL will be used, which looks at Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Ecological and Legal factors.
Then, apply directly to scenario.(Correct me if I am wrong).
I agree with knylam – the examiner report often says that students to waste time explaining the model they do not extra marks, it is important to show to the examiner that you know how to apply the model to the given scenario.
Ok, the detailed explanation is not required. But should I give the short explanation of the model?
Or I should just state that I`m going to use PESTEL model and then follows the analysis?
