Hi everyone,
Can you please help me out with the question listed in the title, section b.
Why in the end when it comes to calculation of the profit that can be attrubuted to the minority interest it deducts full amount of impairment of goodwill (2 million) and not 25 % of 2 million?
Tx,
Marko
Hi Marko, You need to get the post acquisition profit of the subsidiary after which you make necessary adjustment that affect the post acquisition profit. Impairment of Goodwill is one of the adjustments, then you share the remaining according to their percentage holding.
Hope this you are now good?
Regards, Kunle
Ok got it. Tx 😉
