Hi,
My name is Alicia.
So far, I have gone through all online F7 tutorial lectures, including mini-exercises. I have also completed about 20 questions from the BPP revision guide. I intend to go over the lectures for the second time and complete the remaining revision questions.
I am worried as I am having problems with questions that come as the second question in the F7 exam. I took paper F3 quite a while ago but not sure if that’s the problem. I just find this type of question very complex :-((
What would be your suggestion as to improve my chances of passing. I am really worried as the date of the exam is fast approaching and my confidence is really low at the moment. Not to mention my brain goes completely bank during exams as I tend to panic.

Hi Alicia
The mini exercises at the end of the course notes tend to be extracts from the past exams – many of them from the questions 2. If you can get on top of those exercises such that you know exactly the technique which is required to find the position for the Financial Statements, then when you come to face a question 2, you are able to sub-divide the question into a series of mini exercises, you should find that substantially all the points requiring your attention are pretty much covered. There will likely be one ( possibly 2 ) points within the question which require a little thought and application of IAS / IFRS knowledge, but most of the workings are “standard” and the points in the exam will be similar to the mini exercises.
Practise those exercises and you could well find that the grunt work of answering question 2 is completed within a relatively short time giving you those extra minutes to have a good crack at fastening all the workings together in the preparation of the Financial Statements
