    @Mike Little:
    Sir,
    Can you please suggest how I should plan my studies over the months of April and May if I am taking F4 paper in June 2013? Currently I have started watching lectures on this site and referring to Kaplan study text. Do you suggest writing papers? How many should I aim at?

    Thanks.

    Put very simply ….. as many as you can in the time available! It depends on how many other papers you are attempting and how much time you have available and are prepared to devote to your studies!

    As for planning, schedule for yourself a realistic timetable of hours per day between now and the exam – REALISTIC!!!!

    Take account of other demands on your time – family, friends, a social life, weekends, food!, sleep! – and sub-divide your available time into manageable periods – say 1 hour each

    Break down the course notes into those 1 hour sessions and, after listening to the lectures, try one or two related topic questions.

    BUT DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE DEPRESSED BY THE ANSWERS – NEITHER THE LENGTH OF THE PRINTED SOLUTIONS, NOR THE DEPTH!

    There is no way on this Earth that you could aspire to replicate those answers in an exam

    Allocate your time between now and June – but be REALISTIC about how much time you can devote

    Try that, and see how it goes

    @Mike Little:
    Many thanks for that. Much appreciated. I am doing only F4 this June. I am still doing the reading for the first time and then aiming to start the revision before practising a few papers. See how that goes!!
