One of the reasons a parent does not have to prepare group financial statements is, ” the parent’s debt or equity intruments are not traded in a public market?”
what does this mean?? the terms ‘debt ‘ and ‘equity instruments’ are making it confusing
It means that neither its shares capital ( typically equity shares ) nor its loan capital ( typically debentures ) are traded on a recognised stock exchange
got that!
