1.An additional charge is made for fuel provided for unrestricted private use equal to £581p.a. sir what does it mean?
2.sir what is mean by private use and business use in case of cars and vans?
3. i really did not understand the meaning of taxable benefits and exempt benefits. in taxable benefits who pay tax, employee or employer?? and does exempt benefits mean tax should not be paid …?? by whom?
1. That is – as compared to note (g) (i) at the top of page 66.
2. Business use means going from one place of work to another, for example visiting customers or going from one work site to another. Private use is anything else including for example going from home to work, though note the statement about vans in this respect
3. The words should be self explanatory! Exempt benefits as listed are clearly NOT taxable on the employee whereas taxable benefits are taxable on the employee
thank yuh sir
