Sir my book has given control objectives, controls and their relevant tests, for each systems. Do we need to learn them all?
I don’t think you have to learn them by heart or by rote. You need more of a feel for them.
Ask yourself ‘What could possibly go wrong here?’ So with wage payments the main risks are:
wrong rate
wrong time
wrong person
wrong calculation
wrong payment.
Preventing these gives you control objectives, then you think of sensible ways to stop errors. Whatever methods are chosen for prevention should then be subjected to audit tests.
Alrighttt. Ahan
Thank you.
