Hi all,
I am looking for a change in career and have long thought about becoming an accountant. I have passed F1 and F2, delaying F3 for CBE after June and cracking on with F5 and F6. I have an BA(hons) and an MA in unrelated fields and, fortunately, my current employment will count as 12 months work experience (where it is capped).
I was just looking for some advice: at what point should I consider looking for employment to complete my PER and remaining 24 months experience? Should I wait until after F9? My current job is ok, allowing me the time to study and a decent salary, but my contract will expire in three years and I would like to start training as soon as I finish (or sooner if its possible).
I’m a UK citizen and live in Edinburgh.
Any feedback, or advice from someone who’s been in a similar postion, would be great.
