There are a number of disadvantages claimed for the arbitration process. Which of the following is not one of those disadvantages?
A. Inconsistency
B. Unpredictability
C. Privacy
D. Informality
My answer was D whereas in the note is stated C.
Isn’t the informality an advantage of the arbitration process?
Thanks
Gabbi
May be, but it’s also a disadvantage. The formality of court proceedings can be seen as an advantage – they give more weight and solemnity to the whole process
Answer C – privacy is more often seen as an advantage rather than a disadvantage. There’s always a bit of stigma attached to having to appear in court and having all your dirty washing aid in public so privacy is quite desirable (particularly if you lose!)
Ok, thanks for that.
