Hi Sir Mike,
Need your advice on how to prepare for this exam. I have read the study guide from this site and have a book full of questions and answers from past P7 exams.
I’m doing at two questions per day including note taking on a weekend where I don’t have to work. Am I going too slow? How many of these would you recommend I do overall and on days where I don’t have work as I may not be able to finish all in time for revision? Maybe I have to pace up a bit?
Thanks.
June 13, 2017 at 7:13 pm #393045Just read, read and read again and again and again the past exam questions (and any others) that you’ll find in a revision kit from a reputable publisher
Read also:
Examiner’s comments and reports
OT course notes and listen to the lectures
My article on exam technique on the P7 home page
The article on exam technique “From a marker’s perspective”
I wouldn’t take notes
I wouldn’t attempt at this stage be attempting to answer the questions
I wouldn’t open a study text again … ever (probably)
But I would near and dear to me my revision kit full of past exam questions and answers and I would read it like I would a novel
And I would do that until Mid-August and then I suggest you post again and ask for part 2 of this advice on exam preparation for P7 (and P1)
You should be able to read that revision kit no fewer than 3 times and hopefully more than that … if you can face the prospect
OK?
