No you must submit your proficiency BEFORE passing any of the last 3 Fundamental papers.April 9, 2016 at 7:32 pm
ok thanks ehsanApril 13, 2016 at 5:24 pm
Im facing a problem in obu submission.
When I log into OBU submission website, it shown “out of submission period”.
I have no idea what it means here. and, actially I have ready my thesis to be submit for period 32.
I am still within the 10year period, as seen in my ACCA student card, registration date is FEB 2007 (means expired in 2017).
I have done the ethic module on January 2016 before deadline.
I have completed my P7, P8 and P9 too.
Can some one help and tell me what i have missed? or is that a technical issue?
by the way, in MYACCA, im unable to open my status report, it always pop out an error page. I went to MYACCA and tried again, now I cannot click on “ethic and professionalism” neither. It appears empty page!
I have email to ACCA, no respond from them yet.April 13, 2016 at 8:44 pm
@quinnie – The P32 submission window does not open until 1st May. Until it opens then, you cannot submit. The message ‘out of submission period’ would seem to indicate that there is no submission period available (until 1 May) for you to submit in. You are probably not getting a reply from OBU as (a) they are extremely busy and (b) they assume that all students will have read the Information Pack and know the submission window is not open yetApril 19, 2016 at 6:26 pm
I am now eligible to submit my RAP, but I’d like to know in which period am I eligible to apply for?
I completed my Professional Ethics Module in March 2016 and passed F1-F9 papers for March 2016 as well.
Kindly let me know.
Thanks.May 4, 2016 at 3:51 pm
can someone please help me with this.
.my myacca account had always shown me that i am opted into obu programe but recently when i asked a letter from acca to confirm i am a registered student (needed to give to a cbe centre) that letter stated that i have opted into the programme but im not eligible bcoz i have not submitted my english proficiency document. To recheck i spoke to online operator he asked my details and told me the same thing. I have done olevels and alevels and got an A in english, one of my teacher (also an acca member) had inititally collected our documents from us to register and create our acca accounts.
i am not sure what went wrong can someone pls guide me? i am done with all fundamental papers except f4
thankss alot 🙁May 7, 2016 at 7:48 am
It has nothing to do whether you teacher submit your documents or not. Just email to ACCA and write details about your case. I had the same issue and their online operator told me that I did not submit English proficiency… So, send email to ACCA and solve your issue
Tip: ACCA’s online operators know nothing :v not even the basics of anything.. i dont know on what bases that has been assigned for this job.. lolzMay 21, 2016 at 2:12 pm
Dear All , due unfortunate event i lost my eligibility towards BSC by OBU. AS i have only A and O levels to back me up. I reside in Saudi Arabia and will be looking for a job in early 2017. Please advice me the options and possible ways to complete a bachelors within a short time. I will be completing all 9 papers this year. I dont want to mess up my chances for an MBA in near future.May 22, 2016 at 10:52 am
Are you sure you are ineligible? All students these days are opted in and if you can prove proficiency in English and you didn’t choose to opt out there is normally no issue so I don’t understand what your problem is with OBU. If in doubt of your status, check with the OBU ACCA Office – or were you barred on ACO grounds?
I am not aware of any short term way to achieve a bachelor’s degree -the ACCA/OBU programme is about as fast as it gets for a recognised Hons degree. Most others are 3 years.June 10, 2016 at 7:15 am
I just wanna ask.. what does it means by “you are opted into the ACCA/Oxford Brookes Degree Partnership?”
does it means that i am eligible to submit a RAP?
Thanks.June 11, 2016 at 8:10 pm
Yes once you have passed the requisite exams and the ethics moduleAugust 7, 2016 at 9:47 am
i’m not eligible for BSc
before i pass F7,I had ielts overall 6.0(reading 7.5 writing 5.5)
at that time, the qualification was overall 6.5 that is now changed to 6.0
and unexpectedly i passed F7 on DEC,2015
they say i’m not eligible for oxford brooks degree.
for now i passed all of F level without any degree but advanced diploma given by acca.
what should i do now. i’m so embarassing.August 9, 2016 at 12:59 pm
Hello. I m living and born in Tanzania and would like to know whether if I did IGCSE will that help me to register myself for Bsc as an English requirement needed
But the problem is I got D in english literature and hence can u suggest any other options available so that I complete my registration before completing f7-f9 for English requirementAugust 12, 2016 at 5:57 pm
I am unable to find out “whether one has opted for obu or not”, in affiliated Acca student’s account, kindly guideAugust 23, 2016 at 7:35 am
I know about the requirements for academic content for passing the RAP. I have no knowledge of OBU’s administration procedures with regard to what is considered an acceptable standard of English. However if the English cannot be understood and markers /examiners struggle to make sense of key points it will fail regardless of what certificates anyone holds
You need to address your question to those who administer programmes and do know – probably ACCA Global / ACCA-OBU BSc. OfficeAugust 31, 2016 at 2:14 pm
As the title reads, I’m kinda in a very complex situation and I don’t know if I’m eligible for OBU.
Here are some details:
I started ACCA after completing my o levels
I have not yet done my A levels.
I opted into the degree programme and still am opted into it. At the time I opted into this programme, F4 was paper based.
I have passed 10 out of 14 papers and the remaining 4 includes F4. (Which is now a CBE).
Keeping in mind I haven’t done my A levels and I do not hold an alternative proof at the moment, am I eligible for OBU?
ThanksSeptember 2, 2016 at 10:29 am
On Open Tuition we can mainly only answer academic queries and those based on RAP /SLS content or grading of work. You would have to refer this to the ACCA OBU Office – the contact details are available In the OBU RAP Information PackSeptember 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm
heyy,, soo i have ielts certificate (general) which is usually used to apply for immigration purposes and other,, and i want to go for OBU..passed my F4 as a cbe..would my general ielts certificate be accepted as an english proficiency ???
Thanks !September 22, 2016 at 9:25 am
Hello, please, i have a problem. i have not been opted in for OBU degree and have papers F1,F2,F3 and F7. All informations concerning the programme was not given to me at the beginning. i would really like to have the degree, it’s very important for me but don’t know what to doSeptember 22, 2016 at 9:40 am
Have you checked that you have not opted in as you are automatically opted in unless you choose to opt out!? Have you tried registering on the OBU mentoring website or creating an OBU account?
If you can’t do either of these or if in doubt you will have to check with the ACCA OBU office (contact details for this and the mentoring website are in the Information Pack) – however don’t expect the normal prompt reply as post-results will be a busy time so you may not hear back from them for a few days.
PS I will be moving this to the BSc eligibility topic as we ask students not to open new topic headings unnecessarilySeptember 22, 2016 at 10:14 am
@hamza – Please read the answer above – this is not the sort of question we are able to give a definite answer on – only the ACCA OBU Office can advise!December 23, 2016 at 8:22 pm
I got d grade in english language in my olevels exams
My question is . Does I am eligible for obu ?? Or I need to do ielts ?December 31, 2016 at 8:29 am
I am not sure on this one as grade D for O Level was a pass but when the GCSE system was introduced in the UK only grades A to C were passes. However it could be that the passes for O Level were not changed and a D is still a pass. You would need to contact the ACCA OBU Office to get a definite answer on this. The address is firstname.lastname@example.orgJanuary 5, 2017 at 6:01 am
Does your subscription with the ACCA as a student have to be active at the time you are submitting your OBU RAP? I mean, do you need to pay for the suscription fee and keep your registration active in the year you are submitting the RAP?
