Hello,
I have a question about mark distribution. Let’s assume we have a question “Describe substantive procedures…” where there are 4 available marks. Therefore, 4 valid and properly described procedures would get us 4 marks.
However, what if more procedures will be written and some of the procedures will not be valid?
If I will write, let’s say, 8 procedures, and only 4 will be good, and 4 of them will be worth nothing, will I get 4 marks for the question or does the marker take into account that only half of my procedures is correct? I know that there are no negative marks, however writing only 4 procedures, where all are valid and writing 8, where only 4 are valid gives pretty different impression.
I want to know, if it’s wise to write more procedures, assuming that I will have some extra time left.
Thank you very much 🙂
