Hello sir.Misprint in P/R kit’s Answers at the back. And im not sure of the answer.
1)Learning curves are easier to apply in companies with a high labor turnover than those with a lower rate of staff turnover. (False because i guess its in principal for Learning effect to occur when Labour turnover is low meaning Staff stays the same)
2)Learning rates are not affected by time gaps between the production of additional units of a product ( True because I think each unit production time is taken isolated ignoring gaps between production of units)
Am i right sir?
February 23, 2017 at 5:18 pm #373909In future, please say which book you are referring to – I think it is the BPP book (but there are other ACCA approve publishers 🙂 )
You are correct in saying there is a misprint 🙂
They have given an answer to a different question (although if you look on their website you should be able to find an errata sheet with corrections).Your answer to (1) is correct.
However, with regard to (2) the answer is false because if the time gap is too long then the workers may have forgotten how to do things and therefore start having to learn again.
