I am sometimes confused with the following terms? Can you please explain their main differences for F9? Can I use them interchangeably?
1. Financial asset
2. Capital asset
3. Financial instrument
Thanks,
No you can’t use them interchangeably 🙂
Financial assets are things like bonds, shares, etc.. that are owned.
Capital assets are all non-current assets.
Financial instruments include financial assets but also financial liabilities, equity, and things like futures and options.
