Hello, I intend to sit the F4 global Cbe paper at some point in July. I am fully reliant on the open tuition notes – is this sufficent? Secondly I noticed the syllabus and notes are for exams commencing sept 15 to aug 16 – so which notes do I use for the July 15 exam? Please advice! Thanks
May 18, 2015 at 8:12 am #246758To the best of my knowledge there are no great changes in the syllabus this calendar year so it really makes no difference which notes you use (you could always download both syllabi and compare them side by side to confirm what I’ve said!)
As for exclusive use of Opentuition notes, no, they are NOT sufficient on their own. As a bare minimum you must also obtain a revision kit / exam kit from a reputable publisher and practice over and over the hundreds of questions from that kit.
As a useful tip do NOT write your answers in the book. Write them on a separate piece of paper so that the next time you try a question you cannot see what your previous attempt was

What I meant to ask was does the open tuition notes cover the entire global f4 syllabus – as in do I have to refer to a text also or is the content from open tuition enough? I’ll ofcourse be doing mcqs. Secondly, regarding the differences between the global and variant I noticed only the first 2 topis are different – so can I use the English variant video lectures although I’ll be doing the global version? Thanks!

As for the notes, if you come across an area where you feel that you need a better understanding, then go to a text (or the Internet – it’s cheaper, probably quicker and certainly more thorough)
Ok?

May 18, 2015 at 7:56 pm #246951Absolutely NO COMMENT – there’s no way I would recommend any one above any other
Sorry
