Whatever video u have recorded, are they fully completed and enough to pass?
Plus how many marks can the examiner test on delta hedging?
May 21, 2016 at 4:31 pm #316240Our lectures (together with the free lectures notes, and where necessary for revision the relevant F9 lectures) are certainly enough to be able to pass the exam well, provided that you also practice as many past questions as possible – our free study guide (linked from the main P4 page) lists the best questions to practice.
Best is to buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers because they contain loads of past questions and exam standard questions. The examiner can test as many marks as he wants on delta hedging, although I would be surprised if it was more than about 10 marks as part of a Section B question.
May 22, 2016 at 6:56 am #316315Where in yr lectures do u have Business valuation ?
May 22, 2016 at 8:28 am #316333I don’t, because it requires no extra techniques other than those covered in previous chapters (which do have lectures), and those covered in Paper F9.
The problem is more one of approach and it is for that reason that I have recorded several lectures working through a few question 1’s from recent exams. In these lectures I discuss the approach as well as obviously the technical aspects.
(You will see that the lecture notes refer to the different types of acquisition as types 1, 2 and 3. Strictly these names are in the syllabus for June 2016, but since knowing the names are removed from the syllabus for September, it is not now necessary to learn the names. However, being able to deal with changes in gearing and/or changes in business risk is important – again this is covered in full in the previous chapters and the approach to questions is dealt with in the lectures working through real past exam questions.)
