Hi again Tutor Mike,
What is promissory estoppel, how this applies and to where is it not applicable or does not apply?
Where a promise is made by one party to another and that promise is relied upon and acted upon by the other, the promisor is not subsequently able to renege on that promise to the detriment of the promisee
I’m not sure that there are any exceptions to the rule
The classic case to illustrate the point is Central London Property Trust v High Trees House
