Hello!
I am really hoping to get a quick answer on this as the exam is tomorrow.
As for substantive testing, is there a difference between substantive testing performed on sales and receivables – or purchases and payables?
I hope my question is clear, all I mean is, sales and receivables are very related, is there a difference between the two when it comes to substantive testing?
Thanks you
Maha
There are tests which overlap and also tests that are distinct. For example:
Receivables: valuation is an issue, but not an issue in sales.
Completeness: relevant to both.
Concentrate on tackling the assertions relevant o account balances or transactions and events.
Thank you 🙂 I read that before I go to the exam but I forgot to respond.
I have done VERY WELL today in the exam 😀
