Hi,
Hopefully you can shed some light onto this step from bpp when drawing up an audit plan please:
. Agree client schedule to/from accounting records to ensure completeness
What does client schedule mean?
Many thanks
I’m not sure that it is standard terminology but I think it means a schedule (ie a list with dates that can be signed off) that will contain entries like:
Receive draft FS
Receive receivables ledger to choose balances for circularistation
Receive result of inventory count for agreement to FS
Receive letters from client for circularisation
Send list of misstatements found to client
Receive client response
Send draft invoice to client for inclusion in accruals
Receive letter of representation from client
Send letter ‘Matters arising from audit to client
etc.
Thank you gromit
