How do you accurately calculate the proportioned months in a tax year?
This always confuses me.
In one question :6/4/15 to 1/1/16 is 9 months
In another : 6/4/15 to 31/10/15 is 7 months
Where if I work out the 2nd in the same way as the 1st would be 6 months.
Please help
I think i get it….
the 31st would be an extra month where as the 1st is just the beginning so that month isnt included
Yes – don’t be confused by whether the date is the last day of one month or the first day of the next month – it is still the same number of months!
thank you
