Businesses should be structured around processes rather than functions.(BPP)
Could you give example for a business process ?
I guess, business function refers to Accounting functions, marketing functions, etc…
To my mind, function = department.
Process describes how the functions are carried out. For example, what steps take place when a order is received: check credit, check inventory, plan production, production, check quality, despatch. These can be shown on swim-lane diagrams which show who does what.
