Hi,
Can audit staff work for the client on a secondment basis for eg as Financial Controller (FC) or Non-Executive Director
I came across a situation in Past Q/A where do for the Financial Controller it was ok unless he doesn’t do the Audit job.
I am just confused I remember that Audit Firm should not take on the role of management or be involved in decision.
I would also like to thank you for the work your doing.
Regards
Sam
I would say that being Financial Controller is too high a management position and that it undermines independemce even if that person is not involved in the audit.
Views on independence evolve and I think that this relationship would now be frowned upon.
Thank you Sir for the reply. It make sense for the Auditors not to allow it.
