Please can someone help?
I’ve registered for the SBR UK variant (being based in the UK).
I’ve been using the OpenTuition Videos for SBR but I’m now reading in my exam kit about ‘UK GAAP focus questions’ which I haven’t really come across in the opentuition videos.
By studying the OpenTuition SBR videos have I been watching the wrong variant?
It says in my exam kit that the majority of the UK syllabus exam will be the same as the international exam, which is based on IFRS. The UK exam will also test some differences between UK GAAP and IFRS.
In the OPENTUITION SBR NOTES, I find these difference at the end of chapter 33. Is this what I need to learn? Do I ignore the Current Issues things at the beginning of chapter 33 like MAKING MATERIAL JUDGEMENTS as it is IFRS? And ignore Disclosure of Accounting Policies? Or do I study ALL of Chapter 33 on Current Issues for SBR UK variant?
In the OPENTUITION SBR NOTES, it says ‘The SBR syllabus for the UK variant paper REPLACES section C.10 Reporting requirements of small and medium- sized entities (SMEs) in the international variant with the following:’
Does this mean that I DON’T study SBR OPENTUITION VIDEO 29 about small and medium sized entities?
Any help on understanding how I should approach studying for the UK variant would be appreciated. As mentioned, I’ve been following all the SBR videos on OpenTuition, so far.
