Sir can you please kindly give me an example of process costing, i mean process in real life.

In questions we get like, in process 2, material 100%, labour 50% and O/Hs 50%. Now in real life if we are producing a car so logically if we are done with 100% material on the car so ofcourse that 100% material was put on the car because of labour work so that means labour has done full work on the car and that makes labour automatically 100% BUT still here they say labour is 50% so if you could give me an example of this.

I might sound a little silly but sir i guess it would help me understand the question in a better way and i really want to add that sir i love love the way you teach, your way of explaination, your sense of humor are all perfect:D

In future you must ask questions in the Ask the Tutor Forum if you want me to answer. This forum is for students to help each other.

Imagine one of the processes involved in making a car is polishing it when it has been painted. At the end of the month there might be some cars in that department where the polishing has not been finished, and will be finished next month. All of the materials (paint) are there, but the labour (polishing) has not been completed.
