Hi Everyone,
So I passed the Sep-15 P5 exam, which was fair compared to previous papers, however the content was more or less the same. I self studied for all my ACCA exams and passed 1st time round as well as being in a full-time job and only spent 2 months studying P5.
I read other people’s posts regarding how tough they found P5 and how they sat it 5/6 times and this concerned me as I wanted to be qualified by end of the year. This really did put me off, but I enjoyed F5 and got a good mark (75%) so wanted to do P5.
Reading the previous post on ‘..what Alex Watts wants..’ was very helpful. You really have to think outside the box when answering these questions and not be a robot. And do not overthink the question.. the answers are more obvious than you think.
I want to give hope to those who are worried about taking this exam due to its low pass mark. I did not do anything special or use any extra revision materials. I used the BPP textbook for all my papers and practised all prior year papers and read over the technical articles and that is it.
Hope this gives you the courage and strength to tackle P5. 🙂
