Dear All , due unfortunate event i lost my eligibility towards BSC by OBU. AS i have only A and O levels to back me up. I reside in Saudi Arabia and will be looking for a job in early 2017. Please advice me the options and possible ways to complete a bachelors within a short time. I will be completing all 9 papers this year. I dont want to mess up my chances for an MBA in near future.
May 22, 2016 at 10:52 am #316363Are you sure you are ineligible? All students these days are opted in and if you can prove proficiency in English and you didn’t choose to opt out there is normally no issue so I don’t understand what your problem is with OBU. If in doubt of your status, check with the OBU ACCA Office – or were you barred on ACO grounds?
I am not aware of any short term way to achieve a bachelor’s degree -the ACCA/OBU programme is about as fast as it gets for a recognised Hons degree. Most others are 3 years.
June 10, 2016 at 7:15 am #321838Hi guyss..
I just wanna ask.. what does it means by “you are opted into the ACCA/Oxford Brookes Degree Partnership?”
does it means that i am eligible to submit a RAP?
Thanks.
June 11, 2016 at 8:10 pm #322461Yes once you have passed the requisite exams and the ethics module

August 9, 2016 at 12:59 pm #332195Hello. I m living and born in Tanzania and would like to know whether if I did IGCSE will that help me to register myself for Bsc as an English requirement needed
But the problem is I got D in english literature and hence can u suggest any other options available so that I complete my registration before completing f7-f9 for English requirementAugust 12, 2016 at 5:57 pm #332885I am unable to find out “whether one has opted for obu or not”, in affiliated Acca student’s account, kindly guide
August 23, 2016 at 7:35 am #334646I know about the requirements for academic content for passing the RAP. I have no knowledge of OBU’s administration procedures with regard to what is considered an acceptable standard of English. However if the English cannot be understood and markers /examiners struggle to make sense of key points it will fail regardless of what certificates anyone holds
You need to address your question to those who administer programmes and do know – probably ACCA Global / ACCA-OBU BSc. Office
August 31, 2016 at 2:14 pm #336542Hi,
As the title reads, I’m kinda in a very complex situation and I don’t know if I’m eligible for OBU.
Here are some details:
I started ACCA after completing my o levels
I have not yet done my A levels.I opted into the degree programme and still am opted into it. At the time I opted into this programme, F4 was paper based.
I have passed 10 out of 14 papers and the remaining 4 includes F4. (Which is now a CBE).
Keeping in mind I haven’t done my A levels and I do not hold an alternative proof at the moment, am I eligible for OBU?
Thanks
September 2, 2016 at 10:29 am #337024On Open Tuition we can mainly only answer academic queries and those based on RAP /SLS content or grading of work. You would have to refer this to the ACCA OBU Office – the contact details are available In the OBU RAP Information Pack
September 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm #341060heyy,, soo i have ielts certificate (general) which is usually used to apply for immigration purposes and other,, and i want to go for OBU..passed my F4 as a cbe..would my general ielts certificate be accepted as an english proficiency ???

September 22, 2016 at 9:25 am #341353Hello, please, i have a problem. i have not been opted in for OBU degree and have papers F1,F2,F3 and F7. All informations concerning the programme was not given to me at the beginning. i would really like to have the degree, it’s very important for me but don’t know what to do
September 22, 2016 at 9:40 am #341354Have you checked that you have not opted in as you are automatically opted in unless you choose to opt out!? Have you tried registering on the OBU mentoring website or creating an OBU account?
If you can’t do either of these or if in doubt you will have to check with the ACCA OBU office (contact details for this and the mentoring website are in the Information Pack) – however don’t expect the normal prompt reply as post-results will be a busy time so you may not hear back from them for a few days.
PS I will be moving this to the BSc eligibility topic as we ask students not to open new topic headings unnecessarily
September 22, 2016 at 10:14 am #341360@hamza – Please read the answer above – this is not the sort of question we are able to give a definite answer on – only the ACCA OBU Office can advise!
December 23, 2016 at 8:22 pm #364351Sir
I got d grade in english language in my olevels exams
My question is . Does I am eligible for obu ?? Or I need to do ielts ?December 31, 2016 at 8:29 am #364702I am not sure on this one as grade D for O Level was a pass but when the GCSE system was introduced in the UK only grades A to C were passes. However it could be that the passes for O Level were not changed and a D is still a pass. You would need to contact the ACCA OBU Office to get a definite answer on this. The address is acca@brookes.ac.uk
January 5, 2017 at 6:01 am #365137Hi,
Does your subscription with the ACCA as a student have to be active at the time you are submitting your OBU RAP? I mean, do you need to pay for the suscription fee and keep your registration active in the year you are submitting the RAP?
Many thanks!
January 5, 2017 at 8:00 am #365153Yes. It is a degree based partly on your ACCA exam records and if you are not up to date with your subscription you cannot be awarded it.
January 5, 2017 at 4:10 pm #365255Thank you for your reply!

February 16, 2017 at 6:19 pm #372775I registered with ACCA back in 2001 but stopped my studies when I had children, I have now resumed my studies and with 1 paper that was still valid I have now completed f1 f3 and f4.
Because I was registered with ACCA for over 10 years does it mean there is no way for me to complete my obu
