Good day i am having a problem with the formula please answer the question
The time for the first batch of 50 units was 500 hours. The total time for the first 16 batches
of 50 units was 5,731 hours.
What is the learning rate?
The average time per batch when they produce 16 batches is 5,731/16 = 358.19 hours.
Producing 16 batches involves doubling 4 times.
Therefore the learning rate is: the fourth root of 358.19/500 = 0.92 (or 92%)
This is all explained in my free lectures on learning curves.
