There are 3 weeks to my next exam, an AFM re-sit. In fact, all I’ve got left are a bunch of re-sits.
I’ve attended lectures with an approved tuition provider and am following the final preparation methods etc. as instructed. Then I watched the AFM in focus ACCA webinar and if I place the advice given on that webinar beside the approach I’ve learned on my course, they’re completely different.
For example, the ACCA webinar really pushes the ACCA study hub as an “essential” tool for preparation. Yet my tuition provider has never used it and has never even mentioned it.
I often feel conflicted with the range of different approaches coming from different quarters. My thoughts are that I should stick to just following the advice from my tuition provider and ignore what the ACCA says. Though that feels very contra intuitive.
My only reservation is that like I’ve said, this is a re-sit and I used the same tuition provider for my first sitting, and failed. Disappointingly, I did seek guidance from my tuition provider as to what I might be doing wrong, unfortunately I did not even receive the courtesy of a reply or even an acknowledgement. And they are platinum approved! But that’s a different story.
So what do you think? Ignore the ACCA and just go with what the tuition provider does?
