    Hi

I am sitting the paper in September but am using my books from last year as a resit – I just wanted to know if I am sitting paper based how the format will be as I am a little confused now?

    Thanks

The best thing to do is look here:

    https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/specimen-exams.html#paper

Our guidance still needs to be updated.

There are now 3 case OT questions, each consisting of 5 OT questions linked to a scenario. Then there are three longer, conventional written questions (30, 20, 20 marks).

Sir, I have started studying for F8 paper but I have no knowledge of paper F7 currently.

Would the concepts of IAS and IFRS required to study F8?

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks.

Not in great detail. Know what contingent liabilities and post period-end events are. Not much else financial reporting needed at F8.

If you look at recent exams and their answers (say the last 6 available), you will get a good idea of what’s needed.
