Hello Everyone !
I am working on my OBU RAP and will submit this may.
I was calculating ratios and after calculating all of i checked the calculated ratios in the published accounts and they did not match at all.
I can’t seem to locate the mistake because my method is correct.
Did anyone had the same experience and if yes How did u corect ur mistakes? Thanks
March 31, 2014 at 2:27 pm #163775Yes…….that is not a problem AT ALL…………because if you have calculated your ratios correctly using the correct formulas……then you are ok………..there are, for example, a lot of ways to calculate gearing and the published accounts might have used different formula than you………………so at the end if you have used the CORRECT formula (from whereever you took it (BPP book, etc) AND calculated CORRECTLY (arithmetically)……………then you are good to go 😀
March 31, 2014 at 2:43 pm #163776Thank you for your reply.
yes you are right that there are many ways of calculating gearing but there s only one way of calculating Receivables collection period and so if that should be the same with the annual report.
I’m worried as to if i include inconsistent information in the report i might fail it.
Did u pass your RAP by doing as u described?
March 31, 2014 at 4:43 pm #163801Hahaha maybe you will get shocked because there are more than one ways for Rec. collec. Period, e.g. avg receivable of full year, OR Receivable figure from end of year OR receivable figure from START of year and maybe more ways also :D…………I did pass the report :))…………just give reference of the place you took the formula from…..thats it……….give me ur email so i can send u my APPENDIX…………i beleive that is not plagiarism :))
