I put a mitigating circumstances claim in because I had to look after two people who were quite sick the weekend before, I emailed acca before i sat the exam. Then put mitigating circumstances claim in, I think them it’s only really meant for bereavement in the period where the exam can’t be cancelled or an exam centre issue. It’s v hard to get medical certificates during Covid.
Oh well, based on what I answered I expect 40~45 at most
January 14, 2022 at 9:11 am #646002This is my third try at ATX ?
January 14, 2022 at 9:14 am #646003This is my first fail, i took SBL

What variant did you sit? I did the ATX Irish one and you can only sit it December and June. I find the volume on it gigantic in comparison to TX whereas AAA was not a huge jump up from AA.
Think I will now switch to APM as I can at least repeat in the following sitting if I fail.

we all seem a little consigned to our fates
theres always miracles
January 14, 2022 at 9:28 am #646008Same here, i have had a few attempts on ATX (my last one) and I am really hoping to nail it this time around thus why is so depressing seeing congratulatory emails being sent out and i havent received one
January 14, 2022 at 9:28 am #646009I was able to book exams throughout taking ACCA even whilst awaiting results. I cannot book exams as a finalist as I have no exams to select.
Try not to look too much into it. What will be will be and I wish everybody luck.
January 14, 2022 at 9:47 am #646011Uk variant. Can sit it 4 times a year but just so over ACCA now. Need to be finished and get it over with
January 14, 2022 at 10:06 am #646013For those who are concerned with not receiving the generic email from ACCA about March exam prep, I strongly believe it has nothing to do with your result.
For example, if I look over all the emails I got from the ACCA right before every single result release, I could not point out any relevance between the result and the generic emails. For sessions with successful exams, there was only an email suggesting me to opt in for the email/sms result notification or, rarely, random generic emails other than upcoming exam preparation.
Last September, I took AAA only and I passed. However I didn’t receive any email related to “December exam preparation”, and same to the 2021 March exam session where I passed all papers I attempted.
For a session in which I was absent(maybe counted as fail?) again, I did not receive anything but advertisement about the email/sms result service.
Please DO NOT WORRY and DO NOT be too obsessed with any unproven theories posted in this forum. ACCA is monitoring this forum, there is no way they will allow us to predict our results using any glitches or “analysing” generic emails.

That’s fine if you’re not an Irish finalist.
If you are however I’d say clutching at straws comes to mind. There’s 15 people I’ve heard of who got the email in Ireland, the no of affiliates last Sept was 23 so it’s clear that every Irish person who sat a final and passed would have got that email.
If you’re not an Irish finalist, I would not worry.
Edit: Sorry I see you’re not talking about the affiliate email.

My employer approached me today and told me he heard that the results were out for people doing their last exams
Asked did I get the email , I said no
So Embarrassing, thanks ACCAJanuary 14, 2022 at 11:08 am #646026No worries pal, i’m chilled
I know ive failed, so nothing to worry about
You know if youve passed when you leave the exam imho
Anyone who tries to convince themselves differently is lying to themselves

I’ve passed two exams I thought I failed before, one I thought I failed quite badly and I’ve just about scraped through exams I thought I passed well.
I had a feeling I failed this one anyway as my study didn’t go well this time around but it’s so poor of the ACCA to release the results lately and then completely ignore Irish finalists who are left in limbo without specifically addressing their position.

Were they advanced ones you thought youd failed ?
January 14, 2022 at 1:26 pm #646037Anyone awaiting APM results?

Yes. Was certain I failed SBR and got 56.
Was pretty confident about AAA and just got 50.
Was sure I failed AA and got 52 as well.
They are hard to read sometimes. Obviously you know if you did a bad exam but I guess it will depend on the overall standard and if its low you might get pulled through.
January 14, 2022 at 1:34 pm #646039Did you leave questions out on SBR

Around how much was your expected score after completing the AAA paper? I’m patiently waiting for mine this Monday and hoping its a 50 given the difficulty to complete this paper in Dec for me.
January 14, 2022 at 3:21 pm #646049For most average students like us yes it makes more sense what Ryan said.
We are all bright smart and intelligent here so to me ACCA is like lotto just prepare enough, know exam answering tricks and it will be up to the marker to determine your future as they are also humans
I passed my SBR in September 2020 with 56% but I only wrote 3/4 of the paper. I ran out of time to start question 1.
In the spirit of cheering each other as we wait for our CV changes lets remember that we have 4 Exam sittings and in 10 years to pass ACCA. Other Exam Boards I know you do it in only 3 attempts you write 4 subjects in one sitting. If you fail one you start everything afresh with no carry forwards credits!!!!!!!January 14, 2022 at 3:56 pm #646053In March 2021, a attempted a little under 70% of the paper SBR, I was so confused in the hall and wasn’t sure about my answers. I couldn’t think properly cuz I spent the whole night studying. I left the exam hall crying. I was expecting about 35%, but on results night, shockingly, I had 53%.
Waiting for APM now, I attempted only about 75% of the paper and since APM is more subjective with less calculations, I am not expecting a pass, I attempted roughly the same 75% in September sitting and failed. Though I feel the quality of my answers improved a little, I’m still not sure of scrapping 50/75.

I left bits of questions out of SBR. Probably attempted 85% of the paper.

Audit always seems to be so hard to judge, very subjective and people generally seem to pass by a low amount or fail by a low amount.
January 14, 2022 at 5:11 pm #646067@ryanwilkes1985 I had 43% with about 3 weeks of preparation on self study. I have a problem with CBE. My speed on the computer is terrible, that’s why I am really scared.
January 14, 2022 at 5:59 pm #646068Gosh I am so nervous! Good luck everyone!
