You have indicated that it is not necessary to remember dates of cases. Does this also apply to legislation as well e.g. is it sufficient to write in the F4 exam the Companies Act rather than Companies Act 2006? I was told that I need to remember the date of royal assent for the statutes and regulations, which I think is stupid.
In need of clarification :S
Who on this Earth told you to remember the date of Royal Assent?????
You may as well be remembering the birthday of the assistant drafts-person who drew up the original green paper! That would be just about as equally irrelevant.
For something like CA 2006, I cannot personally see a problem remembering that. But that’s the exception – I can’t think of any others where I would make the effort.
Far more important things to remember than the fact that the Frustrated Contracts Act was issued in 1943
