    Dear tutor,

I have been practicing the audit risk questions and I have been correctly able to identify the risks and give appropriate responses to the risk but what I’m having trouble with is that the question is taking too much time to solve. Like when I see the suggested answer in the Kaplan Exam Kit, which is the same as the ACCA suggested answer, they explain the audit risk elaborately and also they state about 3 responses on average. So I try to write like they write in the suggested answer and obviously it would take anyone time to write that well.

So I watched the OT revision lectures and the tutor beautifully explained how to keep the identification and explanation of the risk short and simple but what worried me a bit is that one response per risk was suggested (two to corroborate where you have to write something like discuss with management) because the suggested answers on average contain 3 responses.

So, this is just to confirm would it be alright if I write 1 response, or two at max to secure full marks for a particular risk. I’m only worried because of answers suggested by the ACCA itself 🙂

ACCA has to publish comprehensive answers for AA (and AAA) in particular – because they are almost wholly written and if they didn’t cover the wide range of valid points that could be made, students would pester tutors (and tutors pester the examining team!) to know what other points would be considered valid (!)

Please download from the resources on this page https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/exam-technique.html the pdf “Read the mind of the AA marker”.

The key to scoring well in AA (and AAA) is “think more … write less” (!)

    Prize winning scripts are SHORT!
