Keeping answers short is key for APM and managing time.
Can you please advise on the answer structure that would do well.

If we go brain dead on the exam could you please suggest areas that can act as a proxy when discussing the impact on performance management and impact on performance measurement.

How do we easily distinguish between the two?

How much time should be spent on question 1, reading the requirement, the scenario and then brain storming ideas before writing?

How long should be spent on Sections B and see on the same?
    Please advise.

In APM you need to apply your knowledge the question at hand. So there are no areas that can act as a proxy. Don’t go into the exam with pre-formed answers or structures in your head. This will mean you answer the question you want to see, rather than the one the examiner has set.

However, keep in mind that question 1 will nearly always ask you to criticise the current performance report, and there will normally be obvious problems such as lack of non-financial information, too many numbers, lack of commentary etc. When you get asked this, read the question carefully. It normally asks you to comment on the report itself, NOT to comment the performance of the company which is shown in the report. This is an important distinction. Practicing past questions and papers will give you a sense of the pattern of typical questions asked.

I would recommend you spend around 0.5 minutes per mark on reading and planning. So around 25 minutes for question 1 in section A, and around 13 minutes each for questions 2 and 3 in section B. There is no section C in this exam.
