So I’ve done a few papers and gained Exemptions in others.

I’ve got FA in Applied Knowledge and AA in Applied skills remaining.
I’ve read the Progression rules on the ACCA website and I can add both of them to my Exam Planner.

FA is obviously on-demand and available year round. However lets I’m planning to do AA paper in September (Session CBE – which I have to book soon).

So does this mean I must complete FA as well either on or prior to September? If not, is there some kind of deadline or can i just do FA at any time.

Appreciate any help.

If the system allows you to book for both it is permitted. Since you have passed FR (presumably) I would recommend that you clear FA asap as this is the assumed financial accounting/reporting knowledge which is relevant to AA.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have cleared FR.

To Clarify. I get this message if I remove FA from my plan

”Financial Accounting (FA) has been removed from your plan. This is a pre-requisite for Audit and Assurance (AA). To book Audit and Assurance (AA) you must re-add Financial Accounting (FA) to your plan.”

So If put both together, do you know if there is a time frame to clear FA. Is it September as well? I ask as on-demand CBEs can be done at any time can they not.

Generally it is the case that, if there is an outstanding exam from a prior module, it must be entered for in order to enter to sit an exam in the later module. I think it must be relatively rare that someone entering for AA has not yet passed FA. I don’t know how the booking system is integrated with CBE results so cannot say how it would be if you don’t sit and pass FA before the AA exam. You can wait for someone else to try and give you an answer on this forum but I think you would be better off contacting ACCA directly.
