Dear Tutor, I started working 2 months ago right from 3rd day after my FR exam, and now i haven’t able to start preparing for AA exam becz of my routine and laziness. in FR i studied for 45 days before exam and passed with 55% Thanks to Crish and god.
all your published guides for AA on this site focused on Practice. Should i Book the exam for December ?
I mean i don’t want to skip a attempt like last time and i have little time left. I believe i can finish the syllabus in 2 weeks if i work hard may be 3 weeks considering uncertainties. Then idk with 10 days are enough for practice. I am not sure if its feasible to pass this Scary exam in such sort notice. Do you think i should give it a try ?
If so, Can you provide me some Strategy ? I mean i will met the deadlines you provide at all cost if you can suggest something.
There isn’t alot of time for leisure activities when duing acca and after every exam i guess i celebrate my success too much and give my self too much rest before next exam. But now again i am serious and work hard to get through this one too 🙂Thank You very much
October 28, 2022 at 9:00 am #670180I have 2 days for standard entry for AA exam , If you will say i should go for it i will book it today and do my best for AA exam and follow what ever plan you suggest for this much time. I just need 50 percent for passing it , I am not aiming for alot higher than that.
In last exam i was in more or less same situation but considering the time left i will manage to get more time by waking up early and only studying after work hours.October 28, 2022 at 9:09 am #670181I can’t be responsible for the decisions of individual students – I do not know their circumstances.
I can tell you that ACCA recommends 6 weeks for resitters.
A student asked me 4 weeks ago and I advised caution then: https://opentuition.com/topic/acca-aa-exam
This was my advice to a student mid-Sept preparing for Dec session: https://opentuition.com/topic/preparation-for-dec-sitting
Perhaps after looking at these posts you will consider starting your studies now for the exam in March 2023.
October 28, 2022 at 10:29 am #670187Okay, Thank you for your extremely helpful answer, Its better to attempt in march then to go through breakdown from getting failed. Now i understand its quite a bit of work to go through for this exam in particular. Not really considering sitting two exams in march currently but If i wish to sit two exam in future which combination makes more sense:
AA + FM Or AA + TX TX+FMonly these three exams are pending for skill module.
October 28, 2022 at 12:20 pm #670192My “Planning your ACCA journey” article https://opentuition.com/acca/plan-your-acca-exam-journey includes commentary on best combinations with other useful tips – like you don’t want to be planning to sit TX for the first time for a March session – because if you defer for any reason or fail – the June exam will be based on a new finance act.
I had a prize-winning student sit AA and FM together https://opentuition.com/topic/my-approach-towards-clearing-aa-with-85 – by her own admission this was very stressful (!)
