Interview with Tran, ACCA F1 Genius Hunt Winner December 2013 Exams

Can you tell us more about yourself?

I am Tran Thi Thúy, 21 years old, I am a full-time student at Ha Noi Foreign Trade  University in Viet Nam. I have self studied ACCA and always found the support from opentuition.com

Which Study resources did you use or  found the most useful in your studies for this exam?

I use BPP study text and revision kit and take full course notes,  lectures, slides and test center from Opentuition.com. In addition, the flashcard  is very useful, I can test my knowledge in a very quick way. I had a lecture notes from one of my friends and I found it easy to follow , besides, there are many kind of materials I found on internet.

You have scored such high marks, many students must wonder what is your study technique?

For the prior to study, I read through syllabus, the “size” of the paper to plan for my studying. I think  2-3 months  should be taken for each paper .

At the start of the learning stage, I study entire syllabus in details, practice all questions of BPP revision kit, take advantage of opentuition’s free studying resourses.

Deeply study and make sure that I understand not remember the answer, because  to pass F1 you must apply your knowledge  in real conditions.

What is the best strategy do you think student should adopt for revision?

I think 1 week prior to the real exam, you should review all knowledge, you can write your notes into a small book

Do you believe that past exam practice is the best way to past ACCA exams.

Yes, Past exam practice is a good way to past ACCA exam, I practice regularly to be familiar with the style of the examiners.

What do you think was the most important factor in your success in your ACCA exams?

To my mind, determination, patience, stick to the proper plan, and be confident to take the exam are the most important factors in my success  in my ACCA exam.

How did you find out about OpenTuition and which  OpenTuition resources helped you towards your success.

While I was searching for the ACCA materials, my first result  was OpenTuition.com. As I said, full course notes,  lecture, slide,  test center and flashcard from Opentuition.com made a major contribution to my high result.

Congratulations and thank you for your time
