Interview with Genius Hunt winner in Paper P6 Dec 2014

Please tell us about yourself

I am from Pakistan and currently I am working in one of the leading Islamic bank in Pakistan.

You have scored 85 marks in Paper P6 exam. How much time each week did you spend studying, on average?

I spent 15 hours a week at start of the session and in the last 2 months before exam I spent 28 hours a week.

Which study resources did you use?

I used Kaplan revision kit and course notes provided by my tuition provider.

Did you get support from your firm?

I was a full time student at that time so I didn’t had any opportunity of getting support from any firm.

What was your approach to your studying?

My approach was to take my tuition classes and then revising the lectures at home on daily basis. P6 is the most lengthy paper of ACCA there are many rules that have to be memorised so I used to revise all the topics again and again to have them on my fingertips.

What would you say was the most important factor that helped you to achieve such a high mark?

The most important factor for my success was to have the whole revision kit and past papers solved in a real time exam conditions. As I said Earlier this paper is very lengthy so you have to practice a lot before appearing in exam otherwise it would be very difficult to complete whole paper on time.

How did you find out about OpenTuition, and which of our resources did you use?
I found about it from my classmates and I used opentuition’s forum and some useful links that are available on opentuition’s site.
