    Dear sir,

At the end of the notes you have provided financial management terms which I have gone through briefly.

I have a rough understanding of what each of these mean but the definitions provided in the notes are very bookish, so I just want to confirm if these were provided for better understanding of the terms or are we required to use these definitions in the written part of the answers.

I scored poorly in the theory part of FM and almost all of my marks came from calculations so I am a bit concerned if the examiner is looking for certain terms in the written part

Also I really enjoyed these series of lecture on AFM 🙂

Also, can you please advice on how important technical articles are, because I dont have the time to go through each one of them as I have to study for another subject as well

Thank you so much Sir. I just completed the syllabus in preparation for the September 2022 sitting, which by God’s grace would be my last and I’m so grateful for you lectures. When I started 12 months ago, the idea of having to self study for 9 papers while working fulltime was very overwhelming but the short notes and clear explanations in the lecture throughout my studies have been really helpful.

I just chanced upon a video yesterday about the Rothschild family. It mentioned that the first Rothschild was appointed court Jew because Christians were not allowed to perform certain banking transactions in those days. I wonder that this might be the same thing you are referring to on traditional Christian lending practices.

Yes. It is the last chapter of the lecture notes (apart from a list of terms).
