    Sir
I’m really confused with this could you please guide .

Can vision be called as a long term objective ?

    And
Can mission be called as short term objectives in order to achieve the vision ( long term objective)

A vision is simply a dream for the future which may or may not lead to long-term objectives.

The mission is set out in the mission statement and states the overall purpose of the business. It is not an objective, but it leads to goals and objectives.

Do read page 105 of our free lectures notes and watch the lectures that go with it.

But I give examples of how the mission statement leads to goals and objectives in my free lectures working through Chapter 27 of our lecture notes!! You cannot expect me to type them out again here 🙂

Preparing budgets is the short term planning towards achieving the objectives. Variance reports are assessing how well or not the budgets have been achieved. Profit statements are simply a report of what has actually happened.

Sir then what’s the difference between

    Mission and mission statement

    And sir told that
“Preparing budgets is the short term planning towards achieving the objectives.”

So we can call that mission as well because mission leads to our vision isn’t it ?

The mission is what is set out in the mission statement and (as I wrote before) is stating the overall purpose of the business.

Preparing budgets is not a mission!

Again, have you read Chapter 27 of our free notes and watched the lectures working through the chapter?
