hi ,
could you please tell me what are the difference between invitation and offer ?
Hi
So an invitation to treat for e.g. an item in a shop window is NOT an offer. It is simply inducing someone to make an offer. Its basically saying “would you like to buy me?”. But its not an offer and therefore can not be accepted. So whenever you see for example a coat or pair of jeans on display or in a window priced at say £50, this is not an offer, it is simply “Inviting/inducing” customers into the shop. If the customer is interested in making an offer then they will go to the counter and make an offer which is subsequently accepted by the cashier behind the till i.e. the shop assistant.
I hope that helps.
Vijay
thank you got it ..
My pleasure 🙂
