Discount received – Control A/Cs

Hi John, I hope you are all well. I wanted to ask the following –

Opening balance on list of individual payable ledger balance – 19,765
Opening balance of payable ledger account – 21,832

Discount received was not entered in list of balances. I deduced it must be reduced from list of balance.

But I wanted to be sure by asking you. Is it right to reduce it ?
