    Sir,for PYQ Sep/Dec 2016 Q4 part (b)

    for the notes to the statement of cash flows

    1.why the take out a new loan of $55m and paid off of total $3m capital element of lease liabilities will be classified under non-cash changes?(not it will increase &decrease the cash flow respectively)?

    Sorry – can’t help on this one – they took it out of the 2020 kit – but, if it’s one of those long 35 mark cash flows, I recommend that you don’t spend time on it.

    Most marks now in Q1 are for explanation and calculation marks are given largely for approach
