Could you please tell me,
What kind of information concerning VARIOUS EXTERNAL MARKETS is required to permit the performance of a manager to be distinguished from the performance of the business unit managed?
I assume you are asking in relation to ‘beyond budgeting’. The idea is to compare the managers performance with similar operations in other businesses i.e. externally. So depending on the type of operations it will be comparing such things as the speed of production, the rate of pay for the workers, the cost of materials.
