Greetings Sir,
Hope you are doing well.I have read that for self studying for SBL a revision course might be recommended. I intend to start listening to the lectures along with the notes and kit on Monday and look at the questions alongside.
However, the university at which I took other papers, they offer revision classes only for two days and for SBL just a few days before the exams and the answers aren’t marked or looked at specifically. And as far as I know on opentuition we cannot post answers for review if it is on the good trend either, can we?Would it be advisable to take the exam with 3 months self study preparation and if possible to get the two days of revision classes available at the university just before the exam please?
Thank you for your guidance Sir, have a good day. 🙂
March 9, 2019 at 3:16 pm #508811You should certainly be able to attempt the exam after 3 months.Studying and trying questions is very important as this is very much an exam that requires application rather than knowledge.
You are correct in that here at OT we cannot review students’ answers. As for your university, I think you should judge nearer the time what value they might add to your attempt if they do not mark or look at your answers. Certainly I would suggest that there is little value in just listening to lectures at that stage. Of course, their course might be predominantly question-based with extensive debriefing and discussion after students try each question. It might be that at that time you welcome some more interaction with lecturers and other students. It might be stimulating for you.
So, I suggest you don’t enroll until nearer the exam after you see how your self-study is going (unless you fear the course will fill up). Before enrolling it might be worth contacting the university to learn more about the format and content of the course.

Yes, they are predominantly question-based and debriefing.
As far as I know it is only three full days of revision course just about a couple of days before the exam and no marking and looking at the answers included in it. However, I will contact the university for more details and keep the enrollment for later if I am to take it.Thank you very much for your guidance, it has helped a lot.
Have a good evening Sir. 🙂
